"A New Hope treasure. Innkeepers make stay as pleasant as surroundings" The inn takes its name from the third Vice President of the United States. After Aaron Burr's infamous and fatal pistol duel with Alexander Hamilton in 1804, Burr escaped to New Hope for safe haven. The inn's stone foundation is all that remains of this pre-Revolutionary War era home where Burr is said to have hid for over a week. Today, our inn still offers a warm and hospitable welcome to weary travelers along the Old York Road. And the spirit of Aaron Burr can still be experienced at our inn... "Fresh is best" is the innkeepers' motto regarding breakfast, which is served daily (complimentary) in the Dining Room or in the privacy of your own bedroom. "Breakfast - in - Bed was a real treat, especially since it was our first trip in 6 years without the kids" (Lee and Brian). Please advise your innkeeper at the time of reservation if you have a food allergy or special dietary restrictions. Home baked goodies and refreshments are served to all upon
arrival. A special Afternoon Tea with your Innkeeper is served Saturdays
(and holiday Sundays).
